Elections will be held in three phases.

• September 5, 2006 is set for AngajukKâk of the Inuit Community Governments.
   
• September 19, 2006 is set for Community Government elections, and October 3, 2006 for the Nunatsiavut general election.
   
• The Presidential election is set for two years later – October 7, 2008.
   
• All elections will occur every four years. The Labrador Inuit Constitution set this staggered timeframe for voting of the president to ensure continuity and consistency from one government to another.
