The immediate priority is to integrate information technology staff and infrastructure from the former Labrador Inuit Association, Labrador Inuit Health Commission, Labrador Inuit Development Corporation, and others into the Nunatsiavut Information Technology division. This will allow for the standardizing of Nunatsiavut information and communication technologies, and facilitate a more secure and efficient workflow between government departments.

Going forward, the Information Technology Division will be positioned to leverage the new high-speed digital data networks in northern Labrador. The Division will establish a Nunatsiavut Wide Area Network that will be the backbone of all future information technology initiatives and projects.
