Message from the Minister
The Department of Health, Education, Social and Economic Development manages and delivers many critical programs for Nunatsiavut beneficiaries. Social and economic development issues are closely linked in today's wage based economy. Through the department's programs, such as the Post Secondary Support Program and its partnership with LIDC, we are helping create a more diversified economy in our communities.
This department has a number of priorities for Labrador Inuit health. These priorities are focused on our needs as individuals, communities, and a society. Labrador Inuit have helped to build this list of priorities, and Labrador Inuit are playing a key role in working on positive results. We need to do more as a government and as a people. I am proud to say that the Nunatsiavut Government will continue to work on improving the health of Labrador Inuit. And I know we will work together. |
