There are two funding programs available to
LIA members seeking post-secondary education - Inuit Pathways
and the Post Secondary Student Support Program (PSSSP). The
objective of the Post-Secondary Student Support Program (PSSSP)
is to assist members of the Labrador Inuit Association (LIA)
in gaining access to post-secondary education. It encourages
LIA members to graduate with the qualifications and skills needed
to pursue individual careers and to contribute to the achievement
of Inuit self-government and economic self-reliance. While PSSSP
is guided from LIA's office in St. John's, there is also an
Education Counsellor located in Postville, as well as a Native
Liaison Officer at MUN.
