Torngâsok Cultural Centre
The Torngâsok Cultural Centre, a cultural affiliate of the Nunatsiavut Government, works to preserve, protect, promote and advance Labrador Inuit language and culture. Torngâsok's Nain offices, its research resources and its collection of heritage resources are available to the public.

Major initiatives of the Torngâsok Cultural Centre relate to the language of the Labrador Inuit. Through the aboriginal language initiative, Torngâsok offers language camps and other opportunities for Inuit youth and adults to learn and speak Inuttitut. A dictionary of Labrador Inuit Inuttitut has recently been released. The dictionary is a collection of Labrador words and phrases that were gathered through interviews with Inuit elders, Moravian documents, and developed over many years with the work of translators and interpreters.

The Rosetta Stone project is a CD-ROM Inuttitut language learning program. The program involves interactive learning through visual materials and audio aids.

Demonstrating its commitment to the language, the Nunatsiavut Government offers every opportunity for Assembly members to conduct business in Inuttitut.
