Constructed at a cost of $9.4 million, the Nunatsiavut Assembly Building officially opened in Hopedale on September 4, 2012.
The Labrador Inuit Land Claims Agreement is the only Land Claims Agreement in Atlantic Canada, and it sets the precedent for any future Land Claims Agreement.
