Flags are flying at half-mast at Nunatsiavut Government buildings to mourn the 215 children whose remains were discovered last week buried on the site of a former residential school in Kamloops, BC.  The flags will remain at half-mast for 215 hours – one hour for each child.

Public Health staff from the Nunatsiavut Department of Health and Social Development are scheduled to be in Mud Lake on Friday, May 28, from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. to administer the second dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to all eligible residents.

The Nunatsiavut Government is issuing a number of non-binding travel restrictions aimed at reducing potential exposure and spread of COVID-19 to the Labrador Inuit Settlement Area (LISA).
